The Special Victims Unit investigates and prosecutes cases of domestic violence, sexual assault, cybercrimes and cyberstalking, and provides services for victims of these crimes. The unit also manages the Sheriff’s Office Crime Scene Response Team. The unit is comprised of one Investigator Sergeant, three Investigators, one Unit Coordinator, the Victim/Witness Coordinator, and a number of volunteers and interns.
The Special Victims Unit also provides training on Domestic Abuse issues to other Law Enforcement agencies, First Responders and other groups. Some of the agencies and groups trained include the Clarksville Fire Department, Montgomery County E-911 Dispatch, Fort Campbell Military Police and Department of The Army Civilian Police and many civic groups such as Kiwanis and Rotary.
