Over 300 men and women are employed by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office in both sworn and non-sworn positions. Sworn personnel are those who are commissioned as deputy sheriffs to serve in a law enforcement capacity. Non-sworn personnel are civilians who fill various professional, administrative, clerical, and maintenance positions to support the operations of the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office. The Personnel & Training Office is responsible for recruiting, testing, and selecting individuals to fill these positions as well as providing annual training to ensure that the highest quality of service is provided to the community. This office also handles all inquiries and changes regarding employee benefits. These services are provided by the Administrative Captain and two deputy sheriffs.
