Freegal Music downloads are compatible with all mp3 players and computers. No need to download special software for this serviceUse the Download link to download music to your computer. Clicking the Download link will cause the song file to begin downloading to your computer. The song will be saved in the folder you have specified for downloads, usually the Desktop or My Documents.
Step 1: Login to Freegal with your library card and pin number.
Step 2: Download a song - pay close attention to where your computer saves your downloads. If you are at a library public computer, be sure to move your downloaded songs to a flash drive so you can take them with you. You may also download an mp4 video which is the equivalent of 2 songs. So, you may download three songs per week or download one song and one video per week.

2. Library card holders in good standing may download up to three songs per week from the site. There is no charge for this service.
3. You do not have to return downloaded songs and videos - they are yours to keep.
4. The download counter resets itself at midnight on Sunday EST. Unused downloads do not carry over.
5. Occasionally, Internet Service Providers or your computer may time out, and you could experience an incomplete or problem download. Freegal Music™ provides you with the opportunity to download previously downloaded songs again, without using up a personal download. To download a song again for up to two weeks, visit the Recent Downloads page of Freegal Music (requires log-in). Once you have downloaded a song twice from the Recent Downloads page, the song titles disappear from your list because they are no longer available to you.
