Green Certification Workshops
A series of workshops to help businesses earn local Green Certification began in mid-March 2011. Most of the material in the workshops will be presented by local environmental professionals and other subject area specialists. Some of the information will include fundamentals of the environmental management system/ISO 14001. There also will be ample opportunities to learn how to save on energy/utility costs, develop plans for improvements and learn effective practices from within the group. The workshops are designed to be enjoyable, interactive learning experiences that will have long term benefits to the participating businesses. Four classes have gone through the workshops and a fith is currently in the process due to finish in June.
