FAQs

I have a broken refrigerator, where can I dispose of it?

Refrigerators, air-conditioners, and similar cooling devices must be taken to the landfill at 3212 Dover Road. Hazardous gases, (freon, etc.) will be removed and the device will be recycled. The fee for disposal is $10 per item.

Can tree limbs be taken to my convenience station?

Our convenience stations can't accept tree limbs and brushes. Limbs and cuttings may be taken to the transfer station on Highway Drive provided they do not exceed 4 feet in length and 3 inches in diameter. If possible, bring limbs, brush, etc. to the Landfill to be ground into mulch.

Do you take automotive batteries and used motor oil?

Automotive wet cell batteries may be taken to the appropriate container/area at a convenience station or the transfer station. Please see the attendant for disposal instructions. Used motor oil can be taken to any convenience center.
