Archives Strategic Plan
Mission Statement
To preserve the permanent, historical records of the County, store the non-current records, and collect and preserve other valuable or historically significant Montgomery County materials to ensure that the information contained in these varied documents is readily accessible to county government agencies, the people of Montgomery County, and the public at large.
Issue Statement
The Archives website is currently a simplified listing of our holdings. It should be expanded to include the basic databases being created by Archives personnel.
Goal Statement
During 2009-2010, put basic databases on-line for external patron use. These should include at least, the pre- 1838-1900 marriage index, continuing update of the early deeds (1788-1871), and various court papers.

Patron Services is, among other things, top provided a means to retrieve information from the various historical records held by the Archives.
